This training group is linked to the International Neuropsychoanalysis Society (Int. NPSA), an international network of non-profit organizations that support a dialogue between neuroscience and psychoanalysis. Headquartered in New York, London and Cape Town, the Int.NPSA provides resources to physicians, researchers, students and the general public, including a journal, lectures, research grants and educational programs. One of the main objectives of the Int. NPSA is to provide resources and opportunities for dialogue between clinicians, researchers and the wider public, for anyone who wants to engage in the interdisciplinary project of neuropsychoanalysis. Participation in the Training Group in Neuropsychoanalysis of the CFR offers specific training in this interdisciplinary dialogue.
Upon completion of this course, certified mental health professionals will be qualified to apply for listing on the Clinical Register of the International Neuropsychoanalysis Society.
The Clinical Register includes the current members of NPSA Society who have undergone specialized training, based on neuropsychoanalytic knowledge., which enriches their existing training in a clinical discipline.
The members of the CFR (as well as the members of the International Neuropsychoanalysis Society) are not required to be part of this register; admission to the Clinical Register adds on to their professional curricular recognition.
